History of the House
Long ago, in the valley of the Corb River, there were 52 flour mills. The ancestors of Cal Bovera were, since 1868, the hermits of La Bovera, the place where they lived until 1932.
That year, they moved to the current Balcells family house, located on the road to Guimerà. They still preserve remains of the roof beams of the warehouse, the cellar, and the corral of their former hermit residence.
Cal Bovera has remained as the name of the house in memory of the grandparents, caretakers, and hermits of the hermitage of La Bovera.

A fantastic house in Guimerà, a medieval village in Urgell, Lleida. It offers two booking options:
Capacity for 9 people.
Entire house: Capacity for 15 people.
It has 320 m² distributed over 3 floors:
On the ground floor, there is the entrance hall, a guest bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and the main room with dining area, living room, fireplace, and access to the patio with a barbecue area and garden furniture.
On the first and second floors, there are six bedrooms (3 triples and 3 doubles), all with private bathrooms. All rooms have natural light, and three of them also feature their own terrace.
It has a private patio, barbecue, and a small pool. Due to restrictions caused by the current drought situation, the pool may not be available.

The rooms
Cal Bovera has 3 double rooms and 3 triple rooms. All of them have heating, a full bathroom, and natural light. Three of the rooms also feature a balcony or terrace. They are fully equipped with bed linens, towels, amenities, etc.

The kitchen
The kitchen is connected to the dining room and living room and is fully equipped. It includes a ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, Thermomix, dishwasher, and tableware and cutlery for 15 guests.
Common areas
The ground floor of the house hosts the common areas: entrance, kitchen, dining room, living area, guest bathroom, and patio. The dining area can accommodate up to 15 guests. The living area features a fireplace, TV corner, board games, and access to the patio. The patio is equipped with a barbecue, garden tables, and, during the season, a small pool as well.

Our house is located within the town center, in a quiet area with easy parking. Very close to the village center and the municipal swimming pool.
